Billy Gardner
Our company was founded in April 1970, by Billy and Carolyn Gardner. Billy had worked for a large national pest control company and in 1969 had earned their Manager of the Year Award. He decided to start his company in Cleveland, because of all the fine people he had met while working in the area with his previous employer. Billy and Carolyn worked together well, he handled the sales and service, Carolyn handled the telephone and office work. They worked together operating their business for 33 years. Billy passed away in March, 2003. He left the business in the capable hands of Carolyn and their son, Erik.  Carolyn Gardner
Carolyn is a 1954 graduate of the Greeneville College of Business. Carolyn's duties included all record keeping, soliciting customers on the phone, scheduling work, setting sales appointments, handling all phone calls and overseeing the daily business operations. Carolyn now oversees all administrative duties and her son Erik handles the day-to-day operation of the business. Billy and Carolyn have 3 sons Kirk , Erik, and Brad. Carolyn is a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and she has 9 grandchildren ranging in age from 19 years to 7 months. She is very involved and close to her grandchildren, she spends much of her spare time enjoying and playing with them.  Erik Gardner
Erik resides in Bradley County with his wife, Elizabeth, and their 5 children. Erik has been working in the pest control industry for the past 25 years. Erik holds Pest Control Operators Licenses in both the State of Tennessee, since 1984, and the State of Georgia, since 2003. He holds an EPA certification as a Restricted Use Pesticide Applicator. Erik is a 1986 graduate of Purdue University School of Pest Control Technology and Entomology. Erik has attended hundreds of hours of continuing education seminars to constantly update his knowledge so he can better serve his clients. Erik serves as our company manager. He is responsible for implementing safety programs, training and supervising all technicians, maintaining customer satisfaction and overseeing all state and EPA compliance issues. He and his family attends First United Methodist Church. Erik is a member of the Cleveland Noonday Lions Club and also volunteers as a youth baseball and football coach.
 Elizabeth Gardner
Elizabeth is married to Erik Gardner and she handles the marketing and assists with the day-to-day administration of the business. She has a degree in business and a background in administration. Her knowledge and experience have proven very valuable in the operation and growth of our business. Beth keeps busy in her spare time being a full time mom, caring for her children.
 Brad Gardner
Brad has been involved in the family business for the past few years working in the Dalton, Georgia area. He is married to Karen Gardner and they have two children, Richard and Kayla. Brad is a 1996 graduate of Dalton State College with a degree in Business Management. Brad received his Georgia State Applicators certification in 2007. He will be working out of the Dalton office serving the North Georgia Area. Brad and his family attend the First Christian Church of Dalton where he serves as a Deacon.  Edith Mays
Edith is Carolyn's mother and is Grandmother to Erik and Brad Gardner. She will celebrate her 92nd birthday in May 2008. She is originally from Greeneville, TN but recently came to live with Carolyn. She may be 91 years old, but is not ready to slow down. She assists in the office helping to stuff and stamp envelopes and is always ready to lend a hand. We try to convince her to sit down and rest but she insists on being involved. We enjoy having her in the office and being able to spend time with her every day. As you can see, we are truly a family business! |
